This diagnosis is based on three scopes:<\/p>\n<p>Scope 1: direct emissions (for example from fuel combustion).<\/p>\n<p>Scope 2: indirect emissions linked to energy consumption (electricity, heating, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Scope 3: other indirect emissions, such as those from business travel, purchases or the transport of goods.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, we laid the foundations by carrying out our first carbon footprint with an essential introduction.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023, we consolidated the data for better consideration in order to refine our analysis and gain experience for the 4 subsidiaries concerned by the Enygea Group, including WATERLAB Services. This new scope will allow us to better integrate our actions and act effectively to reduce our carbon footprint.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key figures of our 2023 carbon footprint<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>WATERLAB Services: 204 tonnes of CO\u2082\/year (-64% compared to 2022, which amounted to 547 T CO\u2082)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the 4 subsidiaries of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enygea.com\/en\/services\/bilan-carbone-2023-enygea-strengthens-its-commitment-to-a-greener-future\/\">Enygea Group<\/a> combined: in 2022, the result was 11,168 tonnes of CO\u2082.<br \/>\n<strong>In 2023, it is 11,107 tonnes of CO\u2082.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Compared to our 350 employees of the Enygea Group, this represents 31.37 tonnes of CO2 per employee.<br \/>\nThe objective now that this observation has been made is to improve ourselves and reduce these emissions as much as possible.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2668\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waterlab-services.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/ws-300x202.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.waterlab-services.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/ws-300x202.png 300w, https:\/\/www.waterlab-services.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/ws-1024x688.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.waterlab-services.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/ws-768x516.png 768w, https:\/\/www.waterlab-services.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/ws.png 1179w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 477px) 100vw, 477px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>An encouraging first step<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Compared to the previous year, <strong>we have reduced our overall emissions by 0.6% for the entire Group<\/strong>. This progress may seem small, but significant for a trajectory that is constantly improving.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with GENEO, we have integrated ambitious objectives into our strategic axis no. 2: Reduce our carbon footprint and that of our customers:<\/p>\n<p>4.2% reduction in Scopes 1 and 2 emissions by 2024 (compared to 2023).<br \/>\n7% reduction in our Scope 3 carbon intensity over the same period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Concrete actions to achieve our objectives across the Group<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To reduce our carbon footprint, we are implementing innovative and ambitious initiatives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Streamlining of routes: optimizing travel to limit the kilometers traveled.<\/li>\n<li>Decarbonizing our vehicle fleet: integrating electric or hybrid vehicles.<\/li>\n<li>Installing electric terminals: promoting more sustainable mobility.<\/li>\n<li>Waste recovery: giving new life to our equipment<\/li>\n<li>Building renovation: prioritizing energy efficiency in our infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These projects are part of a global decarbonization approach, while maintaining impeccable quality of service for our customers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A long-term commitment: -30% target by 2030<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This second carbon assessment marks a turning point in our environmental approach.<br \/>\nBy identifying our main sources of emissions, we are now better prepared to strengthen our action plans. <strong>Our ambitious goal: reduce our emissions by 30% by 2030.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is a Carbon Footprint\u00ae?
